Dental Curette – 14/15 Posterior – NES-1704

Posterior teeth don’t give a clinician much room to maneuver, and the NES-1704 14/15 posterior curette is shaped around that reality. Its double-ended design pairs a 14 blade on one side with a 15 on the other, both angled to work around molars and premolars where cheek tissue, tongue position, and limited opening all crowd the working field at once.
The numbering follows a universal curette convention rather than an area-specific one, meaning both ends cut on two edges instead of one. That makes the instrument more versatile for general scaling across mixed surfaces, though it asks slightly more attention to blade orientation than an area-specific curette would, since either edge can engage the tooth depending on how the wrist is angled.
What sets this pairing apart is the shank length and curve, built specifically to reach distal surfaces on second and third molars without the handle colliding with opposing teeth or soft tissue. The tip also functions as a working diagnostic instrument, letting the operator confirm a surface is free of residual calculus by feel rather than relying purely on visual inspection in a hard-to-see posterior region.
Machined from surgical-grade stainless steel, the NES-1704 autoclaves without losing its edge and holds up through repeated posterior scaling sessions. A practical choice for hygienists and general dentists who need reliable access to the back of the mouth without switching instruments mid-quadrant.
