About Me

Adil Lazar: Founder of NextEdge Surgical

Bringing precision, quality, and healthcare experience together to serve clinicians worldwide.

About Me

I'm Adil Lazar, founder of NextEdge Surgical.

This company didn’t start with a manufacturing background. It started with healthcare. I originally come from Pakistan, and my early career was in healthcare administration, medical billing, and coding, working closely with the systems that clinics, hospitals, and providers rely on every single day. That gave me a very direct view of what clinicians actually need from their instruments: things that work consistently, hold up under pressure, and never become the weak link in a procedure.

I also picked up a technical foundation in coding during that period through training and resources connected to Brigham Young University (BYU). Understanding both how healthcare operates day to day and how to build things properly is what eventually pushed me toward starting NextEdge Surgical.

My Entrepreneurial Mindset

Doing things the same way they’ve always been done has never interested me much.

Building a business, to me, means finding a genuine problem and sticking with it until you’ve built something that actually solves it. With NextEdge Surgical, that meant going further than just distributing instruments. I built the company around precision manufacturing and quality control from day one, because I already knew, from years inside healthcare, exactly what was at stake when an instrument didn’t hold up.

My Commitment to Medical Innovation

Outside of NextEdge Surgical, I’m also doing hands-on research and development work at the intersection of medicine, technology, and innovation. It’s not something I follow from a distance; it grows directly out of the same healthcare background that led me here in the first place.

Some of the most useful innovations come from people who’ve actually worked inside the systems they’re trying to improve, not just studied them from outside. That’s the mindset I bring to both NextEdge Surgical and the broader research I’m doing.

Our Commitment

Our Commitment to Quality

Every instrument we make goes through a structured sourcing and quality verification process before it ever reaches a customer. We work with certified manufacturers who meet international medical standards, and we stand behind everything we ship.

Clinics, hospitals, distributors, and healthcare providers around the world trust us because of that process. Earning that trust is exactly what NextEdge Surgical was built to do.

How I Approach Business

A few principles guide how I work

Progress over perfection

Discipline over motivation

Service over status

Impact over income

At NextEdge Surgical, that translates into never cutting corners on quality and always remembering that every instrument we ship ends up in a clinician’s hands, being used on a real patient.

The Businesses I've Built

Other Businesses I've Founded

NextEdge Surgical isn’t the only company I run. Alongside it, I’ve founded:

UtahBoost

A digital marketing and SEO company helping local and growing businesses build stronger digital foundations, with a strong focus on Utah-based clients.

Allonit LLC

A healthcare revenue cycle management company handling medical billing, coding, credentialing, and licensing for providers, rooted in my original career as a medical billing and coding specialist. Each business solves a different problem, but they all trace back to the same background: hands-on healthcare experience, a technical foundation, and a preference for building the fix myself.

Looking Ahead

I'm Building More Than Any Single Company.

NextEdge Surgical is a major part of what I’m building, but my bigger goal reaches further, into research and development that I hope eventually turns into real, lasting contributions to healthcare.

I plan to keep learning, keep building, and keep holding this industry’s standard for precision.
