Rhodium changes the equation. Unlike the plain glass or magnifying-coated mirrors elsewhere in the range, the NES-1132 uses a rhodium-coated reflective surface — a finish prized in dentistry for its exceptional clarity and resistance to tarnishing over repeated sterilization cycles. Where standard glass mirrors can dull slightly with age and heavy autoclave use, rhodium coatings tend to hold their brightness and true-color reflection much longer.
At 20mm (Fig. 3), this is the compact size in the rhodium line — well suited to posterior visibility, tighter mouths, and situations where a smaller head navigates more comfortably than a larger one.
Practically speaking, here’s what the rhodium finish buys you:
