Not every mirror is created equal — the NES-1128 swaps the standard flat-glass reflection for a magnifying surface, giving clinicians a slightly enlarged view of the tooth structure being examined. At 24mm (Fig. 5), the head is generously sized, so the added magnification doesn’t come at the cost of field of view — you still see the full picture, just with more clarity on fine detail.
This matters more than it sounds. Hairline fractures, early decay, and margin discrepancies are often subtle enough to miss with a plain mirror under standard operatory lighting. The slight optical boost here helps catch what a flat surface might blur past.
