Description

Article NES-329 (Fig 85) extends the Tomas pattern further, covering lower canines, premolars, and molars in a single instrument from NextEdge Surgical LLC that spans a wide stretch of the mandibular arch. It is intended for practices that want one forceps capable of handling a broad range of lower-tooth extractions without switching instruments every time the tooth form changes. That can be especially useful on days when the extraction list includes several different posterior and anterior cases.

Canines, premolars, and molars do not share identical crown geometry, yet this instrument’s beak is engineered to close confidently across all three, adapting to the shift from single-rooted canines to the broader, multi-rooted structure of molars further back in the arch and everywhere in between. The pattern is meant to provide a consistent feel across that range, helping the operator maintain control from one case to the next.

That range earns its place in a practice that wants to minimize instrument switching across a mixed extraction list throughout a busy clinic day. Rather than reaching for three separate tooth-specific forceps, the operator can move through canine, premolar, and molar extractions with one consistent, familiar tool in hand. This can simplify tray setup while keeping the overall workflow more efficient.

Tomas Fig 85 beak spans canines through molars. Adapts to varying crown geometry across the lower arch. Reduces instrument switching on mixed extraction days. Surgical-grade stainless steel, fully autoclavable.

A genuinely broad, practical addition to any set of dental extracting forceps.
