The 01-180-00 carries the same fiber optic mini otoscope specification as the rest of this line, a 2.5V halogen light source paired with a compact build suited to clinics that want a lighter alternative to a full sized instrument. It joins NextEdge Surgical’s diagnostic instruments as another color option within the mini otoscope range, giving multi-provider practices a way to keep instruments visually distinct across exam rooms.
Construction follows the same pin contact head fitting, with a fixed 6x lens in a plastic mount that removes easily when a clinician needs instrument access through the speculum. Reusable specula in 2, 3, and 4mm sizes handle pediatric and adult ear canals alike, and the brass battery handle with its ionized plated finish and push button switch runs on 2 AA batteries for a genuinely lightweight feel during extended use.
