Description

4 MM
Some extractions move in stages. The initial ligament separation calls for a narrow, precise tip, but once the root has some mobility, continuing with the same instrument can be inefficient. The NES-881 addresses the second part of that sequence. It is a Bein Curved elevator with a 4 mm working blade, and its broader tip is better suited to the later stages of elevation when more root surface contact actually improves control rather than restricting access.
The curve in the working end modifies the Bein geometry in a clinically useful way. A straight blade applies force along a single axis, while a curved blade maintains contact with the root surface through a wider arc of the stroke. That matters when the root has already been partially displaced and the socket walls have slightly expanded, giving the elevator more room to follow the root’s movement rather than fighting against a fixed point of resistance.
At 4 mm, the NES-881 sits at the wider end of the Bein range and pairs well with narrower elevators in a staged extraction protocol. Clinicians who stock the full collection of dental root elevators can use a 2 or 3 mm instrument for initial entry and ligament disruption, then switch to this instrument to carry the elevation through to completion with a more stable blade-to-root interface. The curved geometry also helps in posterior sites where angulation demands mean a straight 4 mm blade would be harder to position cleanly.
Manufactured from German stainless steel, the NES-881 holds its curved blade geometry through repeated autoclave cycles without distortion or corrosion. It belongs on any tray where staged extraction is part of the standard workflow. Order the NES-881 today.
