At 5.0 mm, the NES-868 sits on the larger end of the Bein elevator range, giving clinicians additional leverage where a smaller triangular blade would not generate enough rotational force. This size is well suited to roots with a wider periodontal ligament space or cases where the operator needs more surface contact to move a stubborn tooth. As with every Bein pattern in our dental root elevators range, the triangular cross section is what does the real work, converting a rotational hand movement into outward pressure against the root.
A larger triangular blade means more material engaging the ligament space at once, which translates into greater mechanical advantage without requiring excessive force from the operator’s wrist.
