Not every elevator pattern gets the recognition it deserves, and the White elevator is one of those quietly reliable designs that shows up in a lot of extraction trays without much fanfare. The NES-844 brings that pattern to a 4 mm blade, giving it more surface engagement than the narrower Bein or Apexo patterns typically offer.
The White design uses a pointed, tapered blade similar in spirit to a Cryer, built to work into the ligament space and generate elevation through controlled rotation rather than direct prying. At 4 mm, the NES-844 covers more of the root surface per insertion than a finer blade would, which can mean fewer repositions during elevation on teeth with broader roots. Clinically, this size tends to suit premolars and smaller molars where a 2 to 3 mm blade would require more passes than necessary, but a wider Straight or Bein blade would still be more than the case calls for.
