11 mm
Left- and right-handed elevator pairs exist for a reason, and the NES-820 is the left-oriented half of that logic. Built on the Seldin pattern with an 11 mm blade, item code NES-820 is shaped to approach a root from a specific side of the arch without forcing the operator into an awkward wrist angle.
The Seldin design favors a thin, tapered blade over a broad one, which lets the tip work into the periodontal ligament space along the mesial or distal aspect of a root rather than only from the buccal or lingual face. Pairing that blade with a left orientation means the cutting edge naturally faces the correct direction when working the left side of the arch or the mesial surface of certain teeth, without the operator having to rotate the wrist into an unnatural position mid procedure. This is one of our dental root elevators built specifically around handedness rather than a single universal blade angle.
Clinically, this shows up most often in:
Multi-rooted posterior extractions where mesial or distal access matters
Cases where a straight or universal elevator forces poor wrist mechanics
Situations calling for a paired Left and Right set to cover both sides of the arch consistently
Root elevation where blade orientation affects control as much as blade shape
Reusable stainless construction keeps the NES-820 in normal sterilization rotation, and pairing it with its Right counterpart rounds out coverage across the full arch.
Add the NES-820 to your surgical tray.
