The NES-753 is a Friedman Craig gouge elevator with a serrated finish, a combination built for one specific job: excavating and elevating stubborn root remnants where a standard elevator tip doesn’t have enough bite or curvature to get the work done. The gouge shape carries a concave working end, letting it cup around a root surface rather than simply pressing against it flat.
That curvature changes how force gets applied.
