When planning for immediate dental implant placement, preserving the thin buccal plate during tooth extraction is critical. The NES-1648 extraction forcep by Next Edge Surgical LLC is tailored specifically for atraumatic exodontia, utilizing slim, micro-tapered jaws that slide smoothly between the root surface and internal socket wall. By expanding the periodontal ligament space using controlled axial pressure rather than harsh lateral prying, this instrument allows operators to loosen teeth while leaving fragile alveolar bone structures entirely intact.
Forged from high-density surgical steel, the NES-1648 exhibits high torsional strength, ensuring physical torque translates efficiently to the working tip. Its non-reflective satin finish dampens intense glare from overhead operatory lamps, helping clinicians maintain clear visual contact inside deep anterior and premolar sockets.
Prior to starting any socket-preservation extraction, a comprehensive site check with a sensitive diagnostic instrument helps map periodontal attachment levels and rule out underlying cortical fenestrations. Once cleared for intervention, the NES-1648 functions as an intuitive physical extension of the operator’s fingers, delivering delicate feedback as periodontal fibers yield. The ergonomically contoured handle rests comfortably within the palm to reduce hand fatigue. Choose Next Edge Surgical’s NES-1648 to safeguard bone volume for future prosthetic success.
