Description

When an upper root has fractured down to a sliver, most forceps simply have too much bulk to work with. Article NES-163 was designed for exactly that gap in the instrument tray: very thin upper roots that demand a beak fine enough to engage without placing unnecessary stress on the remaining root structure.

  • Fine, tapered beak sized for very thin maxillary root fragments
  • Minimizes pressure on already-fragile root structure during extraction
  • Angled to follow the natural curvature of upper root anatomy
  • Ergonomic handle for precise, fatigue-resistant control
  • Surgical-grade stainless steel, fully autoclavable and corrosion-resistant

Clinicians working with residual root tips after a difficult crown fracture, or roots weakened by long-standing decay, often find standard forceps either can't get purchase or apply too much force too quickly. This instrument closes that gap, giving a narrow point of contact that reduces the risk of pushing fragments deeper into the socket.

Its slim profile also makes it useful in tight posterior spaces where visibility and access are already limited.

Well suited to general dental practices, oral surgery centers, and academic training clinics working with challenging root extractions.
