Cement flows differently when the blade is this narrow.
The NES-1979 carries two working ends that stay under 2 mm, built for the moments when a standard spatula simply will not fit. Think veneer margins, deep screw-access channels, or the last thin layer of liner before a crown seats. The steel is stiff enough to push material yet thin enough that it does not shove the matrix out of place.
Most clinicians notice the difference in the first five minutes. Less scraping against the tooth. Less excess to clean later. The handle stays light so the fingers can make the tiny adjustments these cases demand. Sterilization does not soften the edges or cloud the surface.
After the material is down, one slow pass along the margin turns the same blade into a diagnostic instrument. Any gap or ridge shows up immediately under that light contact. Next Edge Surgical LLC keeps this pattern in the spatula group for operators who spend real time in the smallest restorative spaces.
