Dental Curette – Gracey Buccal and lingual/palatal surfaces more angled – NES-1624

Fig. 9/10 GR
The NES-1624 takes the same posterior buccal and lingual coverage as its Fig. 7/8 sibling and adds extra shank angulation, built for the molars sitting furthest back in the arch where straight-line access simply isn’t possible. That added curve is the whole point — it lets the blade wrap around the tooth without the handle colliding with adjacent structures or the opposing arch.
What you get in this piece:
Fig. 9/10 Gracey configuration with a more pronounced shank bend for deep posterior reach
Stainless-steel blade that keeps its cutting edge through repeated resharpening
Narrow, rounded toe designed to avoid catching on root concavities
Works equally well as a diagnostic instrument for probing root surface irregularities and calculus deposits
Balanced, non-slip handle for steady control during longer procedures
Withstands standard autoclave cycles without pitting or corrosion
Hygienists working second and third molars know the frustration of an anterior-style curette running out of angle before the blade even reaches the root surface — the NES-1624 solves that specific problem rather than acting as a general-purpose substitute. It’s most often stocked alongside the NES-1623 so a practice has full coverage of posterior buccal and lingual anatomy, from the first premolar back to the last accessible molar.
