NES-1693

The NES-1693 puts two proven sickle patterns on a single handle: a Towner U15 on one end and a Jacquette 30 on the other, covering both broad supragingival sweeps and finer interproximal work without a mid-procedure instrument swap.
How the two ends split the work:
Towner U15 side — straight, rigid blade suited to anterior facial and lingual surfaces where heavy calculus sits close to the gumline
Jacquette 30 side — narrower blade with a tighter curve, built for reaching between contacts and around line angles that the Towner shape can’t access as cleanly
Both blades share the same triangular cross-section, so cutting feel stays consistent when switching ends mid-stroke
Pointed tips on each end also serve as a functional diagnostic instrument for spot-checking a surface once scaling is complete
Forged in one piece from surgical stainless steel, no soldered or welded junctions to weaken over time
Combination scalers like this one exist because clinicians rarely scale a full arch using just one blade geometry — anterior and posterior surfaces, and buccal versus interproximal zones, all call for slightly different approaches. Rather than reaching across the tray for a second instrument, the NES-1693 keeps both patterns within a single rotation of the wrist.
