Dental Curette – Gracey Curettes Hollow Handle Ø 9.5mm, Length 170mm 11/12 – NES-1559

Mesial surfaces of posterior teeth have a way of hiding calculus just past where a straight instrument can reach, which is exactly the gap the NES-1559 is shaped to close. Numbered 11/12 in the Gracey system, this curette’s blade angle is built specifically for the mesial aspects of premolars and molars, letting a clinician work root contours that a 7/8 or 9/10 pattern simply can’t engage cleanly. It arrives as a standalone piece, so a clinic can slot it straight into an existing tray setup or hand it to a new associate without opening a full multi-instrument case.
Handle: hollow, Ø 9.5mm
Length: 170mm overall
Material: surgical-grade stainless steel
Sterilization: fully autoclavable
The lighter hollow-handle construction reduces the pinch-grip fatigue that builds up during back-to-back scaling appointments, and the balance point sits close to the blade so subtle changes in root topography come through as clear tactile feedback rather than getting lost in a heavy handle. Periodontal teams commonly bring this curette out right after using a diagnostic instrument such as a probe to flag deep mesial pockets, moving straight into targeted root planing without swapping instruments mid-procedure. Next Edge Surgical finishes every NES-1559 to hold its edge geometry through repeated sharpening, which keeps outcomes consistent whether it’s the only curette on the tray or one piece among several from a larger Gracey collection.
