Dental Photographic Mirror – Dental Photographic Mirrors – NES-1173

Adult Palatal
Why does a dental practice need more than one adult palatal mirror on hand? Because photographic mirrors don’t survive being handled like disposable tools, and any practice shooting case documentation regularly runs through more of them than expected.
A few questions worth answering before ordering:
What’s it for? Capturing full-arch occlusal views of the maxillary dentition — the standard shot for shade documentation, crown and veneer case records, and orthodontic before/afters.
What makes it “photographic” rather than a regular exam mirror? The rhodium-coated reflective surface. Standard mouth mirrors produce a faint double image under camera flash; photographic mirrors don’t, which is the entire reason this category of diagnostic instrument exists separately from ordinary mouth mirrors.
Why keep spares? Coated mirror surfaces are the most failure-prone part of the tool — a scratch or clouded spot ruins a shot instantly, and it happens faster than clinicians expect under regular autoclave cycling. Practices doing frequent case photography typically keep two or three adult palatal mirrors rotating through sterilization rather than relying on one.
What’s it made of? Surgical stainless steel body, sized for the adult upper arch, built to Next Edge Surgical’s standard tolerances across the whole photographic mirror line.
