Description

3 mm
The Bein pattern earns its place in most extraction kits for a simple reason: it lets the operator rotate a root free rather than lever it out. The NES-813 brings that design to a 3 mm flat blade, and item code NES-813 sits within our broader root elevator instruments range built around this same rotational approach to root elevation.
Where a straight elevator often relies on adjacent bone as a fulcrum, the Bein blade’s fine point and triangular taper are shaped to slip into the periodontal ligament space and generate movement through rotation instead of pressure against the socket wall. That distinction matters clinically. Less reliance on bone as leverage generally means less compressive load on the alveolar crest, which supports better healing and preserves ridge contour, particularly relevant when a site is being considered for future implant placement. The flat blade face on the NES-813 gives a stable surface to work the tip along the root, useful when engaging narrower or single-rooted teeth where a wider blade would struggle to seat properly.
This instrument tends to show up early in an extraction sequence, before forceps are applied, mobilizing the tooth enough that the remainder of the procedure requires less force overall. It also handles retained root fragments well, where a fine tip can reach and rotate what a bulkier instrument would miss.
Built from reusable stainless steel, the NES-813 holds up to routine autoclaving alongside the rest of a standard surgical tray.
Round out your extraction set with the NES-813.
