The NES-802 takes the Luxator’s thin, ligament-cutting blade and adds an angle to it, solving a problem the straight version can’t. Item code NES-802 belongs to our dental root elevator lineup, and the 3 mm angled blade is what sets it apart from its straight counterparts in the same family.
A straight Luxator works well when the operator can approach the tooth in a direct line, but posterior teeth and limited mouth opening often don’t allow that kind of access. The angular bend in the NES-802’s shank lets the blade reach the root surface at a usable working angle without forcing an awkward wrist or arm position. The cutting edge still does the same job as the straight pattern, separating periodontal ligament fibers rather than levering against bone, but the geometry gets it there in cases where a straight blade would bind against adjacent structures or soft tissue.
