Not every lower molar extraction calls for maximum leverage. On first and second mandibular molar roots, where bone density is high and the surrounding anatomy leaves limited room for error, controlled force matters more than raw mechanical advantage. The NES-739 is purpose-built for that situation. Its shorter leverage geometry reduces the risk of over-driving the instrument apically or transferring excessive lateral force to the buccal plate, both of which are real concerns when working in the dense posterior mandible. The shorter working design gives the clinician a more deliberate, measured elevation stroke that follows the root path without fighting the surrounding bone.

Less mechanical amplification means the clinician feels more of what is happening at the tip, which helps distinguish between the root beginning to loosen and the instrument simply flexing against unyielding bone.
