Fig. 3 is the widest blade in the FEDI periodontal chisel set. It’s built for coverage — sweeping across broader areas of exposed alveolar bone after flap reflection, taking down uneven contours in fewer strokes than a narrower chisel would need. Less precision-focused than Fig. 1, less of a middle-ground compromise than Fig. 2. This one exists for volume.
