The NES-1867 is the No. 8 variant, cut slightly wider and longer than the No. 7, built for cases where the tissue area needing attention stretches across more of the arch than a single mid-size blade can comfortably cover.
That extra length matters most during longer gingivectomy passes, where stopping to reposition a shorter blade mid-incision can leave an uneven margin. The No. 8 lets the operator carry a single cut further before needing to adjust angle or grip, which tends to produce a cleaner, more continuous tissue line.
