Surgical Kanadisches Modell Meniscotomy knife – 11-1116-18

18cm 7″
Shorter length is sometimes the smarter choice. The 18 cm Kanadisches Modell meniscotomy knife was created for precisely those situations—tighter joints, smaller patients, or anterior-horn work where a longer instrument can feel cumbersome. At seven inches overall, it still carries the same carefully shaped Canadian-model blade that allows smooth passage along the meniscal rim and clean detachment of unstable tissue. The reduced length improves maneuverability inside confined spaces, while the surgical-grade stainless steel construction ensures the cutting edge remains reliable after countless sterilization cycles.
Many orthopedic teams keep both the 18 cm and 20 cm versions on the back table so they can match the instrument to the anatomy in front of them. The shorter knife shines in pediatric cases and in adult knees with limited joint volume. Tactile feedback remains excellent, and the handle design provides a secure, non-slip grip even when gloves are wet.
Because the instrument is purpose-designed rather than a compromised version of a longer tool, surgeons gain true control instead of fighting the length. It integrates smoothly into existing trays of BONE SURGERY INSTRUMENTS and expands the options available for meniscal resection without forcing awkward adaptations. The result is cleaner cuts, less soft-tissue trauma, and more efficient use of operative time—advantages that matter in every arthroscopic knee procedure.
