Halstead Mosquito 1×2

Adding a toothed 1×2 tip to the familiar Halstead Mosquito pattern, the NES-2791 gives practitioners a firmer bite on tissue or vessels that tend to slip under a smooth-jawed hemostat. It’s available across the same three lengths as the standard Mosquito, 10cm, 12.5cm, and 14cm, in both curved and straight configurations.
The 1×2 tooth pattern interlocks at the tip, providing extra grip security during clamping without significantly increasing the jaw’s overall bulk. Within our maxillofacial surgery instruments range, this toothed variant is often kept alongside the smooth-jaw version, letting practitioners choose based on how much grip a given tissue or vessel requires.
Having six size and shape combinations under one pattern name simplifies stocking for busy practices, since staff can select the exact configuration needed without switching to an entirely different hemostat line.
The ratcheted handle locks securely once closed, maintaining hemostasis without ongoing hand pressure, a practical advantage during procedures involving multiple simultaneous clamp points.
Constructed from surgical-grade stainless steel, these forceps withstand repeated sterilization and daily clinical use, holding their toothed tip precision reliably across all size variants, making it a dependable choice whenever extra grip security is the priority.
