When heavily decayed multi-rooted teeth split below the gingival margin, retrieving deep fragments without removing healthy bone becomes a major obstacle. The NES-1640 extraction forcep from Next Edge Surgical LLC overcomes this hurdle through micro-serrated, razor-tapered beak tips designed to grip narrow subgingival root structures.
Why add this tool to your operative suite?
Micro-Serrated Beak Interior: Bites into smooth root surfaces to eliminate slipping under vertical tension.
Balanced Pivot Rivet: Eliminates lateral jaw wobble, ensuring 100% of hand pressure is directed to the tip.
High-Purity Alloy: Resists chemical staining, corrosion, and metal fatigue from daily clinical use.
Where does it fit in the treatment protocol?
A successful surgical intervention always starts with thorough diagnostic mapping. Utilizing a high-precision diagnostic instrument enables the clinician to locate hidden root apexes and assess surrounding bone density before applying physical force. Once identified, the NES-1640 slides into the periodontal space to lift broken remnants cleanly while safeguarding soft tissue contours. Fully autoclavable and built for maximum service life, the NES-1640 is an essential problem-solver for complex root retrieval procedures.
