Description

Fig. 13 in this American Pattern series brings us to Article NES-302, an upper incisor forceps that Next Edge Surgical LLC shapes around the narrow, single-rooted anatomy of the maxillary front teeth.

Anterior extractions call for restraint as much as precision, since upper incisors sit in the most visible part of the smile and any misapplied force risks disturbing adjacent teeth in a tightly spaced row. The Fig 13 beak keeps its profile compact for exactly that reason, engaging the incisor crown cleanly without crowding the neighboring structures on either side.

Single-rooted teeth like upper incisors generally extract with more straightforward mechanics than multi-rooted molars, but that doesn't mean the instrument matters less. A properly fitted beak still reduces the chance of the tooth rotating unpredictably or fracturing at the root, keeping the procedure smooth from start to finish.

The handle offers a comfortable, controlled grip suited to the finer movements anterior work demands, and the surgical-grade stainless steel resists corrosion across years of repeated autoclave cycles.

  • Fig. 13 compact beak for upper incisor anatomy
  • Reduces contact with neighboring anterior teeth
  • Suited to single-rooted extraction mechanics

A staple within any extracting forceps collection built around routine anterior extractions.
